The 2022 NSS Convention was held at the Central States Fairground in Rapid City, South Dakota June 13 through 17. I have attended several conventions in the past. The last two years (2020 and 2021) were held on-line only due to the Covid pandemic.

We went into the cave about 0930. Since four of the crew had never been in the cave, we did a quick walk-around of the tourist trail. We split into two teams. One team was Seth, Laurel, Scott and Becky. The other was Bill, John, Shannon and Kohl. We worked our way out the Rugged Canyon

To use these files, download the ZIP and the expand to a temporary directory. Each ZIP will create a directory for the year which will contain the files.

Several months ago I heard some interest from a few KCAG members about getting more experience with vertical gear in some deeper pits. I searched around a bit and decided to set up a trip to some of the classic SCCi (Southeast Cave Conservancy Inc.) pits in the TAG area. The chosen pits were Neversink, Valhalla and South Pittsburgh Pit.

This was the first recorded trip to Geronimo Cave near Macks Creek, MO since Bill Gee visited the cave about 12 years ago. I will be leading the survey efforts along with others in the Kansas City Area Grotto.
All three of us met at 6:30am in Grandview, MO. Bill led the convoy while strictly following the speed limit. Becky and I followed behind. We stopped shortly in Warsaw, and arrived at Husong’s property
